Escapism in Interior Design

Theodores-Designer-Email-July-1

In light of the current events in the world one trend we have been watching and reading about is Escapism in Interior Design.

Areas within the home to decompress and disconnect from electronics in a setting that is soothing. Escaping the pace of every day life.

Some clients refer to these rooms as meditation rooms. However of late we also hear them referred to as areas to escape for a while. The concept is the same as travel to leave behind work and everyday worries and be surrounded by an environment that evokes a sense of calm and passion. Many clients will show us photos of their travels along with snapshots of their hotel rooms, particular lighting, or designs of furnishings and colors.

They are looking for a balance in their lives through design of specific spaces.
