Back in Brass

back in brass

At the High Point Market Fall 2015, one of the hottest trends of the moment was brass. More specifically, these days, we’re heading back in brass. This trend was first spotted in Fall 2014 and has only grown in popularity since then. The modern take on this metal is more of an antiqued and burnished brass as opposed to bright and bold.

Mixing materials adds interest and texture to a space. With brass in the combination, trendsetters spotted the following:

  • Brass furniture paired with acrylic and Lucite bringing retro and modern together in the most remarkable way!
  • Brass accenting wood surfaces as hardware on gorgeous wood grained pieces. The warmth of the brass played well with the rich tones of the wood.
  • Brass buckles with leather on chairs, as accents, even on tables. Masculine, cool, and very inspired!

Both antique and modern in appeal, brass was sighted almost everywhere!

What do you think of the popularity shifting back in brass? Are you a fan? Sound off in the comment section below!
